They are fully trained in a comprehensive 60-hour training program focused on our belief that every student deserves to succeed. After tutoring begins, monthly professional continued education development sessions are held for all tutors.

STUDENT PROGRESS REPORTING TO PARENTS AND SCHOOL DISTRICT

My Virtual Academy students are each assigned a tutor who is responsible for all reporting. Our tutors are responsible for calling and emailing parents weekly with up-to-date progress on each student. A monthly written progress report is also emailed to parents, teachers and school district officials. And everyone is notified once the program has been completed.

STUDENT ASSESSMENT AND CUSTOM TUTORING PROGRAM

Everything starts with an assessment of your student’s current situation. Each of the My Virtual Academy’s educational programs have built-in student assessment testing. By determining the student’s instructional level with the pre-test, the curriculum is set and adjusted to provide activities at the appropriate level.

Each student studies as his or her own level using an adaptive testing algorithm focusing on mastery instruction, which ensures learning objectives are met. All educational content is aligned to state standards in both math and reading.
