STUDENT ASSESSMENT AND CUSTOM TUTORING PROGRAM
Tutoring starts with assessing of your student’s current situation. By administering a pre-test to determine the students’ instructional level, we set and adjust the curriculum to move the student forward.
Each student studies as his or her own level. As the student master skills, they meet additional learning objectives, allowing tutors to introduce new concepts. The adaptive format allows students to build new skills, gain confidence, and meet the learning objectives on their own schedule. All educational content is aligned to state standards in both math and reading.
STUDENT PROGRESS REPORTING TO PARENTS AND SCHOOL DISTRICT
My Virtual Academy students are each assigned a tutor who is responsible for all reporting. Our tutors are responsible for calling and emailing parents weekly with up-to-date progress on each student. A monthly written progress report is also emailed to parents, teachers and school district officials. And everyone is notified once the program has been completed.
